later on in the evening, there's a knock on your door, and there, in fact, is lu bixing! he's holding a book of his own in his arms, and has a grin when the door's opening. ]
I'm here for the book club? [ playful and teasing! ] Hi, Eto.
anyway he looks pleased, bowing his head politely! ]
Thank you for having me. [ and will come in! he holds up his book. ] I've got something for you, too, if you don't mind a little graffiti. I thought maybe we could have a little trade! What do you think?
Well, I'm glad to be out of that jumpsuit, and... the rooming isn't too bad.
[ it could be better (read: with lin) (he's going to get separation anxiety) but, he likes lavi so far, so. he will take eto's book, running his thumb over the cover - clearly pleased and excited to get to read it. ]
And so it is! It's an older one - actually one of the first concepts I used to teach in an Information Technology course. It must have been twenty years ago, now.
[ lu bixing's expression softens a little - nostalgic, maybe, of a time once past. as eto flips through, she won't find a ton of sciency stuff - it's actually more like a historical text, though there are programming diagrams, charts and other depictions of neurological networks, brain diagrams, and a few other things interspersed throughout.
there are also
like inappropriate drawings in it every now and then. thank you hell ] And... I guess it's been well loved.
[ G'day, it's Tuesday night. If Lu Bixing is wandering around the dormitory hallways a little bit late in the day, he may run into Eto exiting her room, lower/back end of her hair tied up a little in that 'just to get it out of the way' vibe. You know, this energy.
She's sighing a little bit, and has a couple of empty bandage wrappers in her hand. Though her outfit is pretty long-sleeve, her other hand is fully bandaged from what can be seen. ]
ANYWAY lu bixing is in fact out in the afternoon. he's sort of hovering, conveniently, near lin jingheng's door, so he happens to see eto when she comes by and makes a noise of greeting and starts to say hi...
... and that stops when he sees her bandages HELLO ] Eto! Are you alright? [ D8 ] What happened?
[ Eto is out here sipping away at the remainder of her second cocktail she got from Blue Hawaiian right at the end of trial as they head back to the main island.
To her credit, she's trying to keep it in, but it's like, you know. When something is so funny you just can't help yourself. ]
I'm no detective, but I tried the best that I could with the tools we had.
[ the hand finally slides off of his face - the corner of his mouth quirks up, and he gives eto a bit of a smile, warmer than the Why This energy from before. ]
You did a good job too, though. It was smart to check the grip on the knife's hand - I didn't even think of that. I still feel like I haven't put together the entire timeline of what happened, to be honest.
[ She is out here, sat over a notebook on the floor, ripping out certain chunks of its contents. There are pieces of torn, crumpled paper here and there, and a bookmark nearby -- some dry blood on it, but a slight streak on it that looks somewhat newer.
She stops when her name is called, though. ]
...Lu Bixing. [ She doesn't even look up. ] Hello.
weekend 0, sunday

But yes welcome Bixing!! She's smiles upon seeing him. ]
Hello, Bixing. You've found yourself in the right place -- come on in. My roommate is out for the time being.
[ I assigned Junhyeong out. Welcome to their modest room!! ]

[ To her rickety ass dorm!! ]
Very unimpressive, but I must say, still nicer than prison. Though, I liked having a single room.
[ The bar is low. But she picks up a book off of her desk -- a hefty thing. King Bileygr is printed across the front, modest. ]
I doubt it'll be much to complain about. Here.

the first bit makes him snort - her single room joke, very funny. ] The bar's pretty low.
[ buuuut once eto picks up her book, he offers his forward for the trade, with a ba-bahhh noise to accompany it. tada! it's
a textbook! the title of the textbook is A Complete History of The Eden System in the New Sidereal Era by Lu Bixing. ]
Look what I found!
no subject
[ She accepts the trade, a corner of her mouth turning up at the cute little sound. ]
Oh? One of your textbooks, I see. It'd fit right in with the shelf, wouldn't it?
[ She'll give the pages a quick look through. How sciencey... ]

She smiles and waves, like her hand isn't bandaged at all. ]
Hello, dear. Just had an interesting evening, but it's no big deal. I'm actually a default fan of the bandaged look, actually.
[ ...She glances at the door he's hovering near. She looks back at him. Yeah? ]
Waiting for your friend to return back for bed?
no subject
Um, something like that. It is a cool look, but - what kind of interesting...?
[ look at him he's a concerned baby. these concerned eyebrows. worried for his new friend ]

God, that was awful.

It was, wasn't it...? Beyond a murder mystery, it was like the special of a bad dime store novel...
no subject
More like the world's worst written script for a television show.
no subject
It's really hell...

[ As usual!!! ]
But you did a good job tonight.
