Mmm. I think you can still call him that, if you want. It surprised me, the first time I heard it - usually it's just me! I like the way his name sounds, and I was a little too cheeky when I first learned it - it was too late to call him Commander for me, too.

Headmaster, or Prime Minister. It'd be like calling you Dawnslight, is all. It's not strange, but it's a little less friendly.

Well, that, and aging works very differently for us. My body would have to age really fast to be that aged by it - it would have been a full century before I started showing any actual signs of it, so. You're probably not wrong.

Genetic advancements have made it so the human lifespan at home is around 250 years, give or take. We tend to reach our peak development around 25 - that's when the human brain finishes developing, and then the body stays that way and ages very slowly.

Even if you had, you might not have seen all of them. His smiles are pretty rare, and that makes them even more precious. And sometimes, he smiles with just his eyes - it's cute, he thinks he's not obvious about it, but he really is.

An ecopod is a device that can hold a single person in transport for an extended period of time - he was completely unconscious, completely - well, naked, and I found him out of sheer chance on my way out of the Eighth Galaxy for the first time. I stopped everything I was doing to bring his ecopod in and wake him up. I'd never met him before, I had no idea who he was, just that he was a handsome guy in the middle of space who had to have some kind of crazy mystery behind him.

I couldn't just leave him there. [ so, yeah. rynlan's got him in one. ] And - that doesn't even cover part of it! It was a struggle, to try and get him to wake up. I worked for a full day and night trying to crack the code on the lock on the pod.

[ he sounds incredibly affectionate even when he says that. ] But I explained to him where he was and took him back to Beijing Beta to run some tests and make sure he was okay. He said he didn't have any memories, at the time, but he was definitely lying.
It's funny, now. I was about to step out on my grand journey. I was going to travel all eight galaxies, and explore all over the place, but all I did was get Lin and turned right back around and went home.
