[she startles anyway, because her brain is somewhere else entirely, but it's fine.

she clears her throat, and then moves, when he asks. the little fairy on hex's back chirps sleepily.]

[ extra pillows!! it's a nice comfy one to help take some of the pressure off of her injuries. the fairy also gets a little greeting, too, offering it a finger wave. hello. ]

Can I get you anything else...? [ fussy... he can tell she's out of it still. ]

[the fairy chirps. it sounds a little like it's going rererere!

she shakes her head, and then:] No. Or - just. Hand me water? [that'll go well]

but he nods, after a moment. thank you for giving him something to do because he has to fuss or he's going to anxiously perish. he's like a dog and needs to fetch.

...but he comes back from the kitchen after a few minutes with a cup of water, and... he stuck a straw in it. it's tragically not a curly straw but it is one of those lil reusable ones. he offers it to her...? fetch good??? ]

[fetch good! he do good. she reaches to take the cup, and her eyes wander too far to her hands, and she gets. stuck, for a second. and then she takes the cup a little roughly, and swallows hard.]

he's trying very hard not to look as upset and worried as he is, biting his lip before he reaches to very gently put his hand on her head and give a ruffle. me searching for parts that are not injured or occupied by bone hand/lesbian/fairy to touch, ]
