[ god... first of all, just the sight of this makes bixing happy. it feels so normal that something in his heart clicks into place and settles. this is home, even if it isn't. this is what he gets to go back to.
he sighs, a little bit, just a little bit, and then resumes his initial quest, leaning on the doorframe.
i also forgot to mention that his eye has like. healed! enough! that he's not wearing a patch today!!! and so he winks. ]
[ wow! what a beautiful eye! jingheng sits up a bit more and swings his legs over the side of the bed. his head tilts a moment as he considers and then... he rises, glancing at zhanlu and mumbling a soft "watch popcorn" to him as he moves to the doorway.
[ it almost feels like deja vu - only this time, there's no turan to nudge things along. there doesn't really need to be, anymore. even if sometimes bixing is still scared that it's all fake, or that jingheng is going to walk away from him and vanish again. but it's a friday, and no one new has died, and home is on the horizon, and because of it, those fears are, for today, assuaged.
he just smiles at lin jingheng, warm, and holds out his hand. ]
Out to the city. [ just like home, goes unsaid. ] Take in the sights? Do some exploring. Maybe grab coffee in a little cafe...?
[ bixing holds out his hand, and lin jingheng takes it without hesitation, hearing the soft Enjoy your time, Sirs from zhanlu, who is lifting a hand to wave gently. popcorn's little head pokes between his fingers and his tongue flicks out like "bye papas." seems like they'll hang out in here. ]

[ winding their fingers together, he reaches with his other hand to grab his jacket that he's left in the same spot, in their home, and leans in to press a kiss just on the brow bone of his healing eye. ]
What were you thinking of first? [ a small squeeze. ] ... You lead the way.
[ he likes to see lu bixing light up, he likes to bask in that glow of delight. ]
[ says lu bixing, as light as air - that means he probably has some kind of plan, but he'd be just as content to wander the entire city with lin jingheng from top to bottom, just taking the place in. he gives zhanlu a cheerful salute with two fingers, blows a kiss to popcorn, and then squeezes lin's hand, brightening even further when he kisses his temple.
home. home, home, home. it's all he can really think - how close this is to being his every day. there will be plenty of stress, and plenty of tiring days, because the prime minister's work is never done. but the idea of coming home to lin jingheng, to bring him around the city that's become theirs, to show him all the things he's done, is tantalizingly sweet. it makes bixing so happy, nearly glowing as he smiles back at lin and pulls him out of the door, enough that he pulls his knuckles up to his mouth to kiss them before they step outside. ]
Takes me back, I think. Remember the first time we went out on Milky Way City? Was that our first date?
